Date Purchased: February 12, 2000 Date Traded In for Chrysler Concorde: October 9, 2001 Dealer: Homer Skelton Ford, Olive Branch, Mississippi Engine Type: 2.4L DOHC Inline 4 Rated at 150 Horsepower Options: Fog Lamps Most Memorable Moment: Putting the Alero's Active Response System (ARS) to the test. It was a dark and cold night. We were about 7 miles from my Grandma's house outside of West Point, Mississippi. Everything was cool, then from out of nowhere a deer jumped out in front of us! I had to break right towards the ditch to miss the deer, which I missed probably by a foot or less, then I had to break back toward the road so I wouldn't run in the ditch. After I was able to breathe normally again, I realized that the Alero handled extremely well - sporty, for an Olds!
